Marco Wolf to pass medicals at Hapoel Beersheba as double signing nears
Hapoel Beersheba are set to complete a double signing, with goalkeeper Marco Wolf due to undergo medical tests on Sunday and, later in the day, he and midfielder Niv Yehoshua expected to sign official contracts with the club, according to the report. The move was first reported by Sport5.
Yehoshua, 21, from Maccabi Petah Tikva, is expected to join on a three-year deal with an option for two more seasons. He will reportedly earn about NIS 400,000 net per season, starting only after he finishes his military service.
Yehoshua has become one of Maccabi Petah Tikva’s key players in recent years. He debuted for the senior team about two years ago and has since played 98 matches in all competitions, scoring eight goals and adding five assists.
Beersheba are also close to finalizing Wolf’s transfer. The newly promoted club is expected to receive NIS 800,000 in transfer fees for the goalkeeper, who is set to sign a two-year contract with an option for one additional season and earn about 160,000 euros per year at his new club. Last season, Wolf made 36 appearances in the National League for Maccabi Petah Tikva, conceded 42 goals, and kept nine clean sheets.
