Approximately 1,000 fans traveled to support the team, but unlike previous occasions, they canceled a planned march through the streets. Fans explained that heavy police presence and frequent stops for ID checks made it impossible to hold the march safely, with authorities reportedly waiting to detain participants if celebrations escalated.

Romanian officials justified the increased security by referencing a recent late-night march by hundreds of Beitar supporters that included loud noises and flares, prompting a decision to strengthen police forces to prevent a repeat. On the sporting side, Beitar's coach Almog Cohen is considering starting Eugene Ansah due to his physicality and strength, which could be crucial against the tough Austria Vienna squad. Cohen emphasized to his players the importance of the moment, highlighting the need for intelligence, passion, and relentless teamwork.

Goalkeeper Miguel Silva recently met with goalkeeping coach Dudu Ben Harush to address criticism following the previous match against Larnaca and to reinforce confidence in his abilities.
