Beitar Jerusalem Prepares for Austria Vienna Clash in Conference League Playoffs

Beitar Jerusalem is intensifying preparations ahead of their crucial Conference League third qualifying round match against Austria Vienna, scheduled for Thursday at 20:30 in Ploiești, Romania. Following delays during their previous trip to Romania, the club has adjusted logistics by advancing their flight to the morning and planning to train locally in Romania rather than at their usual Beit Vagan facility.

The club initially expected around 4,000 fans to attend the match in Romania, but financial considerations and ticket sales have lowered that estimate to approximately 1,500 supporters, similar to the anticipated attendance for the return leg in Vienna. To ensure smooth operations, club CEO Kfir Edri was sent ahead to Romania to handle security and organizational matters in coordination with local authorities.

On the sporting front, striker Shon Weissman, who has experience with Austrian football, is expected to lead the attack again. Jordan Shua, fully fit, is set to start in place of Jonbusco Calu. Coach Almog Cohen remains undecided between midfielders Noam Motta and Ziv Ben Shimol, with Motta favored. Defenders Gil Cohen and Brian Crabali, who performed well in recent matches against Larnaca, will continue their partnership in central defense. Additionally, defender Luka Gadrani and midfielder Tomer Yosefi have returned to full training and are included in the squad, along with left-back Nevo Shudo, who has joined the traveling team and will be available if needed.
