Maccabi Haifa Offers Player and Cash for Maccabi Netanya Captain Kaarem Jabar
Maccabi Haifa has renewed its interest in acquiring Kaarem Jabar, the 25-year-old right-back and captain of Maccabi Netanya. This is not the first time Jabar has been linked with Haifa, but with his standing at Netanya reportedly declining, Haifa is making a fresh attempt to sign him. According to Sport 5, Haifa has proposed a deal worth 500,000 shekels plus the inclusion of player Zohar Zasno as part of the transfer offer. However, Maccabi Netanya has rejected this initial proposal.
Haifa is now working on an alternative arrangement to bring Jabar on board. The club plans to use him primarily as a backup to right-back Liel Abtaï, as well as a right-sided center defender, fitting into coach Barak Bachar's tactical system. The negotiations are ongoing as Haifa seeks to strengthen its defensive options ahead of the new Israeli Premier League season.
