Maccabi Netanya Won't Block Captain Karam Jaber's Potential Transfer Amid Declining Role

Karam Jaber, captain of Maccabi Netanya, is facing a significant decline in his professional standing within the team, and the club is not expected to obstruct his move to a new destination. Although Jaber received encouragement from fans recently, he is currently awaiting updates from his agent, Dudu Dahan, regarding any formal offers, but as of now, no official proposals have been made. Earlier this week, Jaber and his father met with Maccabi Netanya CEO Gil Lev to discuss his new status on the team and the financial terms the club would require for his release.

Since the arrival of Alon Azugi, Jaber has been relegated to the bench both during training camp and in several Toto Cup matches. Even in a recent game against Hapoel Petah Tikva, where Azugi was injured and unavailable, teammate Amit Cohen was preferred over Jaber for the right-back position. Jaber has long been considered an uncontested player at Netanya, and the club expects him to demonstrate character and continue fighting for his place in the starting lineup. However, out of respect for him, the club will not stand in the way if he chooses to leave.
