Zohar Zasno Expected to Join Bnei Sakhnin If Not Included in Kaarem Jabar Deal
Bnei Sakhnin is actively seeking a right-back and has identified Zohar Zasno, currently with Maccabi Haifa, as their leading candidate. Zasno's position at Maccabi Haifa is uncertain, and the club hopes to include him in a transfer deal to acquire Kaarem Jabar. If this deal does not materialize, Zasno is likely to sign directly with Bnei Sakhnin, which is prepared to cover his salary.
In recent weeks, Bnei Sakhnin also evaluated Roee Herman, who played last season for Maccabi Herzliya, but ultimately decided against signing him. The team, coached by Yossi Abuksis, recently lost Alon Azougi to Maccabi Netanya for 200,000 shekels; Azougi had filled the role previously held by Jabar.
Zasno joined Maccabi Haifa in September 2025, transferring alongside Silva Cani, while Roee Elimelech and Ilai Hajaj moved in the opposite direction to Beitar Jerusalem. Last season, Zasno made nine league appearances for Maccabi Haifa.
