Judge Orders Removal of AI-Generated IDF Soldiers Video by Gadi Eizenkot Following Likud Petition

Noam Solberg, chairman of Israel's Central Elections Committee, has ordered the removal of a video posted by Gadi Eizenkot, head of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, which featured AI-generated images of IDF soldiers. The Likud party petitioned against the video, arguing it improperly used public assets for election propaganda. Solberg ruled that although the video was published before the ban on using the IDF in election campaigns took effect, the legal prohibition on using public assets applies retroactively. The judge emphasized that the use of military uniforms and soldier figures, a key element of the video's message, creates an association between Eizenkot and the IDF, which is not permitted in election materials.
