Gadi Eisenkot Demands Smotrich Remove AI-Generated Propaganda Video

The "Yisrael Beiteinu" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, has issued a legal warning to Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and his Religious Zionism party, demanding the immediate removal of an AI-generated propaganda video. The video, posted on Smotrich's X account, depicts senior figures in Israel's justice system, including Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit, Justice Daphne Barak-Erez, and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, as participating in a protest against Smotrich and being forcibly dragged by police.

Yisrael Beiteinu argues that the video presents a false reality and constitutes illegitimate political criticism, accusing Smotrich of inciting violence against judicial officials in a desperate bid for votes. The party contends that the video's use of these figures and their positions is improper and may constitute a violation of the Penal Law's provision against contempt of court, which carries a penalty of up to three years imprisonment.

The party further stated that the video is not legitimate election campaigning or criticism but dangerous incitement that crosses all red lines and tramples the remaining vestiges of statehood. The ultimatum demands the video be removed by 3 PM on Thursday.
