Israeli Girls Cross Into Lebanon Calling for Jewish Settlement in North

A group of Israeli teenage girls crossed the border into Lebanon near the Wazzani springs close to the village of Ajjar on Wednesday. They stayed in Lebanese territory for about two hours to deliver a message urging the establishment of Jewish settlements in northern Israel to enhance security for local residents. The girls declared loudly that for every fallen soldier, a new settlement should be founded, emphasizing this as the path to true security.

This border crossing follows previous incidents where right-wing activists entered Syrian territory to call for settlements across the broader Land of Israel. While the girls remained in Lebanon, other families attempting to cross the border were stopped by Israeli security forces. After approximately two hours, the girls were evacuated from Lebanese territory and handed over to Israeli police for further processing.

In total, ten Israeli citizens crossed into Lebanon, with most apprehended by the Israel Defense Forces. The event coincided with Israel’s Independence Day and reflects ongoing activism by some Israeli civilians advocating for territorial expansion and settlement in contested border areas.
