Israeli Teens Detained After Crossing Into Lebanon Amid Settlement Plans
Ten Israeli teenage girls who crossed the border into Lebanon were apprehended and handed over to police for further care. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are conducting additional searches to ensure no other infiltrators remain in the area. During an interview with ynet conducted while they were still on the run, the girls stated their intention to establish a settlement in Lebanon. They emphasized the strategic importance of settling the land to secure victory in the ongoing conflict, warning that failure to do so would result in losing gains as happened in previous conflicts in Lebanon and Gaza. The teenagers also noted that government policy has not yet changed, and significant efforts are underway in public education and awareness campaigns to influence this policy shift.
