Young Woman and Four Children Rescued After Drifting Into Deep Sea of Sea of Galilee

On Wednesday afternoon, a young woman and four children were rescued from the deep waters of the Sea of Galilee near the Ginbari beach in Tiberias. They had been drifting away from shore in a rowboat that was unable to return on its own. The rescue boat of United Hatzalah, which was on patrol in the area, responded promptly after receiving the emergency call. The rescue team found the group, which included two children and two infants, suffering from mild dehydration and unable to swim back to shore independently.

All five were safely transferred to the rescue boat and taken to the fishermen's dock, where they were examined by United Hatzalah paramedics in an ambulance. Their condition was reported as good and stable. Yossi Oknin, head of United Hatzalah's Tiberias branch, stated that the rescue was completed successfully and emphasized that since the start of the vacation period, the rescue boat has been on high alert to respond to emergencies in the Sea of Galilee.
