Man Killed in Collision Between Car and Truck on Negev Highway 80
A man in his 50s died Tuesday evening in a collision between a car and a truck on Highway 80 near the Tel Arad junction in the Negev. Two other men were injured: a 35-year-old sustained severe multi-system trauma, and a 45-year-old suffered moderate injuries to his abdomen and limbs. Both were evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba for treatment.
Magen David Adom paramedics at the scene described a chaotic situation with a heavily damaged vehicle. They found the man trapped, unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and with severe injuries. Despite rescue efforts and medical checks, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The police have launched an investigation and closed the road in both directions.
Earlier the same day, two women died in a separate accident involving three buses on David Remez Street in Ashkelon. Emergency teams declared a 60-year-old woman dead at the scene and transported two other injured women to Barzilai Medical Center, where one later died. A third woman remains hospitalized in moderate condition.
