Fire Near Ben Shemen Closes Major Highways 6 and 1 in Both Directions
A fire that broke out near the Ben Shemen area on Tuesday afternoon caused significant traffic disruptions on major highways in central Israel. The police announced that Highway 6 was closed in both directions, northbound and southbound, near Ben Shemen. Traffic was redirected to Highway 444 as an alternative route. Concurrently, Highway 1 was also closed eastbound near Ben Shemen, with drivers being diverted to Highway 443. Authorities urged drivers to avoid the area, use navigation apps, and select alternative routes until the roads reopen.
