Four Soldiers Sentenced for Givati Brigade Mutiny, Including One Tried During Leave

The Israeli military has sentenced the last four soldiers involved in the Givati Brigade mutiny, which occurred at the Shaked base in the Shomron region. Three of the soldiers who led the mutiny were each sentenced to 30 days in military prison, immediately dismissed from combat roles, and reassigned from combat service. A fourth soldier, who was tried while on his discharge leave, received a 20-day prison sentence and was also removed from combat duties and reassigned. The sentences were handed down under Section 27A of military law. The mutiny involved soldiers abandoning their posts at the Shaked base, and the military has taken swift disciplinary action to address the breach of conduct.
