Jerusalem Prosecutors Indict 'Grandpa Eliezer' for Sexual Offenses Against Minors
The Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment on Monday against Eliezer Meshulomson, known as "Grandpa Eliezer" at his synagogue, accusing him of sexual offenses involving three minors around the age of 12. According to the indictment, submitted by attorney Michal Azulai Marziano, Meshulomson gained the trust of children by spending time with them, talking, playing, and giving them sweets. He then exploited this trust to commit indecent acts during prayers and lessons at the synagogue on multiple occasions, taking deliberate steps to conceal his actions and avoid detection.
The investigation revealed that one of the offenses occurred during a trip to Uman. The charges against Meshulomson include multiple counts of indecent acts under circumstances of coercion and an attempted indecent act under similar conditions. Alongside the indictment, the prosecution requested that Meshulomson be held in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings against him.
