Bank Hapoalim Opens Registration for Eighth Year of 'Hapoalim for Success' Scholarship Fund

Bank Hapoalim has announced the opening of registration for the eighth consecutive year of its scholarship fund, "Hapoalim for Success." The fund will award annual scholarships of 10,000 shekels each to 120 students across Israel, totaling 1.2 million shekels. Alongside the financial support, the program offers an innovative career development track in collaboration with the Education for Excellence Association, including lectures, workshops, and meetings with industry professionals.

Since its inception seven years ago, the fund has distributed 7.3 million shekels to 730 students studying at 53 higher education institutions. Scholarship recipients volunteer in 57 Education for Excellence centers across 17 municipalities, mentoring approximately 6,000 children and youth annually, reaching a total impact of about 14,600 young people nationwide. Most scholarship recipients are first-generation college students from Israel's social and geographic periphery, who engage in educational and empowerment activities within their communities.

The career development program includes training in resume writing, job searching, interview preparation, LinkedIn profile building, use of AI and digital tools, networking, financial management, and bootcamp sessions. Students also receive professional and personal guidance at one of 55 Education for Excellence centers, where they mentor children and youth, lead groups, and participate in empowerment and tutoring programs.

Eligible applicants are students enrolled in recognized higher education institutions for bachelor's or master's degrees, as well as students in accredited engineering colleges, with preference given to those from peripheral regions. Bank Hapoalim, through its "Hapoalim in the Community" initiative, plans to invest around 2 million shekels this year in scholarships and key programs, aiming to reduce social gaps and enhance opportunities for successful integration into the workforce. The fund also supports hundreds of families in local communities with financial education lectures and activities for parents and children.
