Bank Hapoalim Reports 2.49 Billion Shekel Profit, Declares 1.24 Billion Shekel Dividend
Bank Hapoalim concluded the second quarter of 2026 with a net profit of 2.49 billion shekels, marking a slight decrease compared to the same period last year but a significant increase from the previous quarter. The bank announced it will distribute 1.24 billion shekels through dividends and share buybacks.
During this period, Bank Hapoalim expanded its credit portfolio, with total public credit reaching 536.2 billion shekels by the end of June, reflecting a 6.6% growth since the start of the year. The most notable increases were in business credit, which rose by 10%, and commercial credit, which grew by 9.6%. Housing credit also increased by 3.4%, reaching 154.1 billion shekels.
The bank's income from fees remained stable at 1.145 billion shekels, nearly unchanged from 1.146 billion shekels in the same quarter last year. Bank CEO Yadin Anati highlighted the bank's steady performance amid market challenges.
