Bank Hapoalim Launches Website Tailored for Haredi Community

Bank Hapoalim has launched a new, dedicated website specifically designed for the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community. The site, which went live recently, centralizes banking services, allowing users to perform a wide range of transactions conveniently from home.

The website is designed to be non-operational on Shabbat and Jewish holidays. It prominently features the bank's "Heter Iska," a document permitting interest-based transactions according to Jewish law, which has been reviewed and approved by the Badatz of the Edah HaChareidis Jerusalem and the Great Rabbinical Court in Jerusalem. This permit allows customers to access various financing solutions and banking services in compliance with Halakha (Jewish law).

Yisrael Dekelbaum, Director of the Bank's Haredi Sector Operations, stated that many customers from the Haredi public already utilize the bank's advanced digital services. He emphasized the bank's commitment to innovation and initiative, making it important to provide a tailored website that consolidates banking services. Dekelbaum noted the overwhelmingly positive customer feedback received since the site's launch, highlighting satisfaction with the tailored banking solutions for observant Jews.
