Central Elections Committee Opens Registration for Polling Station Secretaries Ahead of Knesset 26 Vote

The Central Elections Committee began accepting applications on Monday for secretaries of polling stations in preparation for the 26th Knesset elections. Registration opened at 10:00 AM and will remain open until Friday, August 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The committee invites the public to apply for these key roles responsible for ensuring the proper management and integrity of the voting process on election day.

Polling station secretaries oversee voter identification, maintain polling station protocols, manage opening and closing times, and transmit voting materials and results to the regional committee. The position offers a gross salary of 3,000 shekels, subject to an 18% special tax. Deputy CEO of the Central Elections Committee, Attorney Din Livneh, emphasized the importance of secretaries as the professional core of election operations, stating that each secretary undergoes a thorough selection process including suitability assessments, interviews, and practical training to ensure the best candidates are chosen.

Applications must be submitted online via the Central Elections Committee website. Additionally, a dedicated support center has been established to assist applicants with questions and the application process through various contact methods listed on the committee’s site.
