Hapoel Jerusalem Negotiates to Sign Midfielder Omer Abuhav
Hapoel Jerusalem is currently in negotiations to sign 22-year-old central midfielder Omer Abuhav, who recently completed his contract with Bnei Sakhnin. Abuhav, who developed through the youth systems of Maccabi Petah Tikva, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Hapoel Tel Aviv, played two seasons in the Israeli Premier League with Sakhnin after spending two years in the National League with Hapoel Ramat Gan.
In the last season, Abuhav made 24 league appearances for Sakhnin, contributing one assist, and totaled 48 Premier League appearances with two assists during his time at the club. Following the end of his contract with Sakhnin, where he played under coach Yossi Abukasis, Abuhav is now a free agent. Hapoel Jerusalem, coached by Lior Zada, is preparing for their second Toto Cup match against Maccabi Petah Tikva and may add Abuhav to strengthen their midfield.
The club aims to bolster its squad ahead of the upcoming season, and Abuhav's signing would provide additional depth and experience to the team's central midfield position.
