Chico Miko Bakery Faces Lease Change While Noa Bistro Closes in Judean Hills

The wave of closures in Israel's culinary scene continues as the Chico Miko Croissant branch on Bogroshov Street in Tel Aviv is now up for lease. Although a 'for lease' sign has been placed at the location, the chain's owners told N12 that the branch is not closing permanently but has been sold to a new franchisee who will reopen it in the coming weeks. The owners explained that managing the central Tel Aviv location requires constant presence, which they could not maintain. Chico Miko, known for its viral social media presence and extravagant croissant creations, has several key branches including those in Netanya and Or Akiva.

Meanwhile, Noa Bistro, a local bakery and restaurant in Kiryat Anavim in the Judean Hills, announced its closure after three years of operation. The owners shared a farewell post on social media expressing gratitude to their community and citing accumulated challenges as the reason for shutting down. This closure follows the departure of chef-pastry chef Eldad Shmueli earlier this year. Noa Bistro's shutdown adds to a recent trend of restaurant closures across the country, reflecting ongoing difficulties in the food industry.
