Israeli Forces Foil Armed Cell in Bir al-Maksur, Arrest Five Suspects

Israeli police from the Northern District and Border Police forces thwarted an armed cell shortly before it could carry out a criminal attack in the village of Bir al-Maksur. Early in the morning, security forces raided a building in the village where they seized an M16 rifle, a loaded pistol, ammunition, and gloves. During the operation, five suspects were arrested. The suspects are believed to have planned the attack as part of an ongoing local conflict.
