Israeli Forces Arrest Three Terror Suspects Ahead of High Holidays

Israeli security forces arrested three individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activities during overnight operations in the village of Bir Nabala, near Jerusalem. The arrests were part of a broader effort to thwart terror attacks ahead of the upcoming Jewish High Holidays, known as the "Hagim." The operation was conducted by Border Police (Magav) officers from the Jerusalem Envelope region, based on intelligence provided by the Shin Bet security agency and the Israel Police's Judea and Samaria District.

Two suspects were apprehended in their homes during the initial phase of the operation, while a third was arrested in a separate raid in the same village. All three individuals were taken into custody and transferred for further interrogation by the Border Police's intelligence and investigation unit. The police stated that these arrests are part of ongoing security operations across the West Bank aimed at preventing attacks and apprehending wanted individuals.

This operation follows a series of recent security actions, including the arrest of a senior Hamas operative in Tulkarm who was allegedly involved in planning attacks and arms trafficking. Security forces also recently foiled a significant arms smuggling attempt along the eastern border, seizing approximately 40 weapons, including 34 pistols and two M-16 rifles, and arresting two suspects from Jericho.

The Border Police reiterated their commitment to continuing operations against terrorism and apprehending wanted individuals to ensure the safety of Israeli citizens.
