Jerusalem Bus Driver Brutally Attacked by Teenagers, Loses Consciousness

A bus driver for Superbus operating line 2 in Jerusalem was viciously attacked by a group of teenagers late at night. The assault occurred at the Eshkol-Ramot intersection when the driver, known as M., stopped at a red light. Teenagers began violently hitting the bus exterior, prompting the driver to open his window to understand the situation. Immediately, he was struck with heavy punches and verbal abuse, causing him to lose consciousness for several minutes and break four teeth.

After regaining consciousness, the driver managed to drive away from the scene and promptly contacted the police. He was later taken to the hospital where doctors confirmed severe injuries to his face and mouth. The bus company warned that "another line has been crossed" following this brutal incident. The driver expressed confusion over the attack, recalling the intense blows and hateful insults without understanding the motive.

Authorities are investigating the assault, which highlights growing concerns about violence against public transportation workers in Jerusalem. The company and driver are calling for increased protection and awareness to prevent similar attacks in the future.
