Israeli Forces Kill Hamas Terror Leaders Behind October 7 Nir Oz Attack

Israeli forces eliminated Salem Gamal Abdulrahman Abu Labad, the head of Hamas' Nukhba unit responsible for the October 7 attack on the Nir Oz kibbutz, in a strike in southern Gaza on Saturday. Abu Labad led the Hamas cell that carried out the massacre at Nir Oz during the initial assault on Israel.

In a separate operation on Friday in central Gaza, Israeli forces killed Mohammed Abdul Nasser Mohammed Khatib, the commander of Hamas' Maghazi Brigade. Both Abu Labad and Khatib were active in Hamas' military wing and were reportedly attempting to orchestrate further terrorist attacks against Israeli forces.

The targeted airstrikes were described as precise operations aimed at neutralizing imminent threats. Israeli military sources stated that forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with existing agreements and will continue to act to eliminate any threats.

These actions come amid ongoing security efforts following the deadly Hamas offensive on October 7, which included the attack on Nir Oz and other locations in southern Israel.
