Gadi Eizenkot Meets Naftali Bennett to Discuss Current Political Developments

Gadi Eizenkot, chairman of the Yisrael party, met privately with Naftali Bennett, leader of the Yachdav party, at Bennett's home on Friday evening just before Shabbat. The meeting was one-on-one without advisors or aides present. Sources familiar with the details said such meetings are not unusual, noting that the two occasionally hold personal discussions to exchange thoughts and directions on current events and political developments.

In a recent interview with Channel 12, Bennett described Eizenkot as a partner, stating, "We will replace the government, and both of us will know how to sit together and get along." This comment underscores their cooperative relationship despite political challenges.

A recent Maariv poll published on Thursday showed Bennett and Yair Lapid's Yachdav party dropping to 15 seats, a decline of two from the previous poll and the lowest since their merger announcement. Meanwhile, Eizenkot's Yisrael party maintained its lead for the second consecutive week, projected to win 23 seats in the next Knesset according to the poll.
