Gadi Eizenkot Leads Change Bloc as Undecided Voters Could Decide Israel’s 2026 Election

A new News 12 poll conducted on July 30, 2026, reveals that nearly half of Israeli voters (48%) support the anti-Netanyahu bloc, compared to 35% backing Netanyahu’s bloc. The survey, which included 505 respondents aged 18 and over, also found that 12% of the public remains undecided, representing approximately 600,000 voters or about 15 Knesset seats that could tip the election outcome.

Among coalition voters asked who they would prefer as prime minister if not Netanyahu, half were undecided. However, within the change bloc, Gadi Eizenkot is the preferred candidate, with 45% support, followed by Naftali Bennett at 33% and Avigdor Lieberman at 12%. The undecided voters tend to lean toward the change bloc, with 55% indicating they would vote for a candidate other than Netanyahu, potentially adding eight seats to that bloc.

The poll also explored key voter concerns. A majority (56%) said fears over the judicial overhaul’s impact on Israel’s democracy would influence their vote more than investigations into responsibility for the October 7 attacks, which concerned 24%. Regarding election priorities, 54% said security issues would be more decisive than economic concerns, which 34% prioritized. Additionally, 58% of respondents said the party leader would influence their vote more than the candidate list (30%).

The survey was conducted online by IPANEL using stratified random sampling and has a margin of error of 4.4%. It highlights a significant lead for the change bloc and the pivotal role of undecided voters in the upcoming 2026 elections, with Eizenkot emerging as the leading alternative to Netanyahu among opposition supporters.
