Hapoel Be'er Sheva Star Kings Kangwa Signs with Greek Club Panathinaikos

Panathinaikos, the Greek football club, officially announced the signing of Kings Kangwa, the standout midfielder from Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The 27-year-old Zambian player spent two impactful seasons with the Israeli champions, helping the team secure the State Cup and the league title, their first since 2018. During his tenure at Be'er Sheva, Kangwa made 87 appearances, scored 29 goals, and provided 20 assists across all competitions.

Kangwa's departure marks the end of a significant chapter in his career, as he moves to Athens to join Panathinaikos, which is preparing to compete in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League this week. His former club expressed gratitude for his contributions, highlighting his 2025/2026 Player of the Year award and his induction into the club's Hall of Fame, chosen by fans as one of the top ten players in the club's history.
