Panathinaikos Shows Concrete Interest in Hapoel Be'er Sheva Midfielder Kings Kangwa

According to a report by the Greek outlet BGazeta, Panathinaikos has expressed concrete interest in signing Kings Kangwa, the midfielder from Hapoel Be'er Sheva. This development comes after negotiations between AEK Athens and Hapoel Be'er Sheva stalled. Although AEK has not completely withdrawn from pursuing Kangwa, another prominent Greek club has now entered the picture.

Panathinaikos has been searching for a central midfielder since the start of the transfer window. For a long time, they considered Brentford's Mathias Jensen, but failed to reach an agreement with the Danish player. Recently, the club shifted its focus to other candidates, with Kangwa emerging as a strong option. Sources close to the player and Hapoel Be'er Sheva confirm that Panathinaikos has already expressed interest, and the coming hours or days are expected to clarify whether formal negotiations will begin.

Panathinaikos finished fourth in the Greek Super League last season and will compete in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers, drawn against Paks from Hungary. The club has not won the Greek championship since the 2009/10 season and is aiming to break that drought this year.
