Israeli Civilians Enter West Bank Near Nablus, Stones Thrown at Troops in Clashes

On Friday, Israeli civilians entered the outskirts of Nablus (Shechem) in the West Bank, leading to confrontations with local Palestinians. According to the IDF spokesperson, Palestinians threw stones at the Israelis, prompting one Israeli to fire a warning shot into the air. Later, IDF forces fired toward a Palestinian assailant after stones were thrown at them. No injuries were reported during the incidents.

Additionally, reports emerged of several Israeli civilians vandalizing a cemetery in the area. The IDF, which had prepared forces in advance for the arrival of the Israelis, dispersed the crowd and escorted the civilians out of the city area. Subsequently, stones were also thrown at the IDF troops operating in the vicinity, who responded with a suspect arrest protocol that included firing toward a central instigator.

The IDF emphasized that its forces remain deployed across the region to prevent further friction incidents. The military reiterated that entry into Area A of the West Bank is forbidden and dangerous for Israelis and constitutes a legal offense.
