IBM and Israeli Startup Achieve Verified Quantum Computing Breakthrough

IBM and the Israeli startup Qedma have announced a pioneering scientific achievement in quantum computing. Utilizing Qedma's advanced software, which mitigates quantum noise without altering hardware, their quantum computer performed a complex scientific calculation with a speed 100,000 times faster than classical methods and unprecedented accuracy. This marks the first time quantum supremacy has been both demonstrated and verifiably confirmed by running the calculation on two different quantum systems yielding identical results.

Quantum computing harnesses quantum physics to solve problems beyond the reach of classical supercomputers, promising revolutionary advances across science, industry, and the global economy. However, its progress has been hindered by extreme sensitivity to noise and errors, likened to trying to hear a violin next to a jet engine.
