Israeli Fire Commissioner Bans Open Fires Nationwide Until End of August
Israel's Fire and Rescue Commissioner, Chief Fire Commissioner Eyal Caspi, has issued an order banning the lighting of fires across the entire country until August 31. This prohibition includes lighting bonfires and any open flames in open areas. However, exceptions are allowed for bonfires in designated areas that have been approved by local authorities, the Nature and Parks Authority, or the Jewish National Fund, provided they also receive authorization from the National Fire and Rescue Authority and comply with regulatory conditions.
