New Footage Shows Missing Eldar Dayan at Gas Station Minutes After Escape Began

New video evidence has emerged in the investigation into the disappearance of 23-year-old Eldar Dayan, showing him at a gas station shortly after he and others fled their vehicle. The footage captures Dayan shirtless, holding two shirts, one of which he puts on while handing the other to a companion identified as Adar Gitsis. This occurred minutes after the group began to escape the scene.

Following the initial report, police forces from the Petah Tikva station conducted extensive investigative actions at the scene, including deploying a bomb squad, forensic investigators, and accident examiners, alongside wide-area searches. The investigation was later transferred to additional units within the Central District.

Two suspects were arrested by the Dimona police station to pressure the disclosure of Dayan's whereabouts. A raid on an apartment in central Israel yielded no findings. Subsequently, the suspects were transferred to Petah Tikva police station for criminal proceedings related to a brawl. Two other individuals involved were detained and later released to house arrest under restrictive conditions.

Authorities are exploring multiple leads, including the possibility of a criminal kidnapping or that Dayan was involved in a hit-and-run accident and has been in hiding since. Police sources told N12 that the prevailing theory is that Dayan is currently on the run, though all possibilities remain open. A shirt possibly belonging to Dayan was found near where the vehicle linked to him and his friends was discovered 12 days ago in Petah Tikva. The investigation and extensive searches continue.
