New Footage Shows Missing Eldar Dayan at Gas Station Minutes After Escape Began

New video evidence has emerged in the investigation into the disappearance of 23-year-old Eldar Dayan. The footage shows Dayan at a gas station shortly after he and others fled their vehicle. In the video, Dayan is shirtless, holding two shirts, one of which he puts on while handing the other to a companion, identified as Adar Gitzis.

Following the initial report, police forces from the Petah Tikva station conducted extensive investigative actions at the scene, including deploying a bomb squad, forensic investigators, and accident examiners. A wide search operation is ongoing in the area, with the investigation now under the jurisdiction of the Central District authorities.

Two suspects were arrested by the Dimona police station to pressure the disclosure of Dayan’s whereabouts. A raid on an apartment in central Israel yielded no findings. Additionally, two more individuals involved in the incident were detained by Petah Tikva police but later released to house arrest under restrictive conditions.

The police are exploring several investigative leads, including the possibility of a criminal kidnapping or that Dayan was involved in a hit-and-run accident and has been on the run since. Authorities believe Dayan is likely in hiding but have not ruled out other scenarios. A shirt possibly belonging to Dayan was found near the location where the vehicle was discovered 12 days ago.

The investigation continues with ongoing searches and further police actions in the Central District.
