Police Close In on Missing Dimona Man Eldar Dayan After Tel Aviv Incident

Israeli police are nearing the location of Eldar Dayan, a 23-year-old man from Dimona who disappeared after being involved in a car incident and a fight in Tel Aviv. Authorities suspect Dayan went into hiding following an event where he drove without a license and caused minor injury to a friend. The last known footage of Dayan was captured at a gas station in Tel Aviv on the night between July 17 and 18, 2026, shortly after he messaged his partner about a "mess" related to a fight near Yarkon Park.

Earlier this week, police arrested two additional suspects in central Israel connected to the case, aiming to pressure them into revealing Dayan's whereabouts. These individuals are also suspected of involvement in the altercation preceding Dayan's disappearance. A police raid on an apartment in the area yielded no significant findings. Two of Dayan's friends were detained two days ago on suspicion of obstructing the investigation, as they allegedly withheld information from the authorities.

The police source expressed confidence, stating, "We are closing in on him, and we may reach him very soon." The investigation remains active as authorities continue efforts to locate Dayan and clarify the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
