Union Saint-Gilloise Player Mohamed Pousini Survives Violent Robbery in Brussels

Mohamed Pousini, a 24-year-old player for Union Saint-Gilloise and teammate of Anan Khalaily last season, was violently robbed in Brussels, Belgium. A gang forcibly dragged him out of his car and stole an expensive watch valued between 8,000 and 14,000 euros. The attack involved three assailants physically restraining and choking Pousini while another searched his vehicle for valuables. After taking the items, the robbers fled the scene. Pousini was briefly hospitalized but his injuries were not severe, and he has since returned to training.

The club described the footage of the incident as particularly distressing and expressed gratitude to the Brussels police for their exceptional work. Belgian media reported that one suspect has been arrested and is accused of violent robbery. During a search of the suspect's home, stolen items were found, and prosecutors requested to extend his detention. The gang is suspected of committing similar robberies in the area.
