Union Saint-Gilloise Player Mohamed Pousini Assaulted and Robbed in Brussels

Mohamed Pousini, a 24-year-old player for Union Saint-Gilloise and teammate of Anan Khalaily last season, was violently robbed in Brussels, Belgium. A gang forcibly dragged him out of his car and stole an expensive watch valued between 8,000 and 14,000 euros. The attack involved three assailants physically restraining and choking Pousini while another searched his vehicle for valuables. After taking the items, the robbers fled the scene. Pousini was briefly hospitalized but suffered only minor injuries and has since returned to training.

The club described the footage of the incident as particularly distressing and expressed gratitude to the Brussels police for their exceptional work. Belgian media reported that one suspect has been arrested in connection with this violent robbery and is suspected of involvement in similar crimes. Stolen items were found during a search of the suspect's home, and the prosecution has requested to extend his detention. He faces charges of violent robbery.
