Israeli Authorities Demolish Illegal Palestinian Buildings in Northern West Bank Following Attacks

The Civil Administration's enforcement unit carried out a large-scale demolition operation in northern Samaria (West Bank), targeting a series of strategic Palestinian structures. The operation focused on key locations including Junction 9 and along Route 60. Among the demolished buildings was a prominent four-story industrial and residential structure covering approximately 800 square meters, as well as an additional commercial and industrial building spanning about 450 square meters.

This enforcement action was ordered by Bezalel Smotrich, Israel's Minister of Defense and Finance, following recent severe terrorist attacks in the area. The demolitions are part of a broader policy aimed at strengthening Israeli settlements and curbing unauthorized Palestinian construction near the settlement of Emek Dotan, an area officially recognized by the Israeli government.

Minister Smotrich emphasized the strategic nature of the demolitions, stating that the targeted buildings serve as symbolic centers and that the operation is intended to prevent the establishment of a "Palestinian terror state" within Israel's heartland. He highlighted that this move continues a four-year policy of fortifying settlements and unprecedentedly increasing the demolition of illegal structures.
