Israel Demolishes 35 Palestinian Structures in Northern West Bank

The Civil Administration's supervision unit conducted a large-scale enforcement operation in the northern West Bank on Wednesday, demolishing 35 illegal Palestinian structures. These structures were located along access routes to new settlements in the area.

In parallel, 10 structures and greenhouses covering approximately 50 dunams were voluntarily evacuated by their owners. The demolished structures included commercial buildings, homes, nurseries, and other constructions. The operation was part of the government's decision to return to the northern West Bank, aiming to remove illegal construction near routes leading to new settlements and strengthen control in the region.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that the demolition of illegal structures in the northern West Bank is part of a broader policy to destroy illegal construction and create a significant deterrent against threats. He emphasized that this action protects the settlements in the northern West Bank, which he described as Israel's security buffer zone. Smotrich added that the government is pursuing a firm and determined approach to strengthen settlement in the area and thanked the supervision unit, the Civil Administration, and the settlement administration for carrying out the operation.
