Israeli Civil Administration Demolishes 35 Illegal Structures in Northern West Bank

The Civil Administration's enforcement unit, operating under Minister of Defense Bezalel Smotrich, demolished 35 illegally built Arab-owned structures in the northern West Bank on Tuesday. The demolished buildings were situated in strategic locations along access roads to new settlements in the area.

The structures included commercial buildings, large residences, public facilities, nurseries, and greenhouses. In addition to the demolitions, approximately 10 additional large structures and greenhouses, covering a total area of about 50 dunams (12.3 acres), were voluntarily vacated by their owners.

The operation was carried out in accordance with a government decision regarding resettlement in northern Samaria. Minister Smotrich stated that the demolitions are part of a policy aimed at preventing illegal construction, creating deterrence, and securing the roads leading to the settlements.

Smotrich criticized the political stances of Gadi Eisenkot, Avigdor Lieberman, and Benny Gantz, asserting that his policy takes a firm approach to strengthening settlement. He thanked the enforcement unit, the Civil Administration, and the settlement management for leading the operation.
