Israel Demolishes Dozens of Illegal Structures in Northern West Bank
The Civil Administration's supervision unit, operating under Minister Bezalel Smotrich, conducted a large-scale operation in northern Samaria as part of a government decision to return to the area. During the operation, 35 illegal Palestinian structures were demolished. These structures were strategically located along access routes to new settlements in the region and included commercial buildings, large houses, nurseries, greenhouses, and other constructions.
In addition to the direct demolitions, 10 large structures and greenhouses, covering approximately 50 dunams (about 12.5 acres), were voluntarily evacuated by their owners following the operation's deterrent effect. Minister of Finance and Minister in the Ministry of Defense, Bezalel Smotrich, stated that this action is part of a broader policy to dismantle illegal construction, establish a significant deterrent balance, and protect the settlements in northern Samaria, which he described as Israel's security buffer zone.
Smotrich commended the supervision unit, the Civil Administration, and the settlement management for leading the operation.
