Truck Overturns on Route 1 Near Shaar HaGai, Several Injured Including One Seriously
A truck overturned on Route 1 near the Shaar HaGai gas station and interchange, close to Jerusalem, colliding with several vehicles. Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom provided on-site treatment to multiple injured individuals. Among the casualties, one person was reported in moderate to serious condition with severe limb injuries, while two others sustained minor injuries.
United Hatzalah first responder Mordechai David Goldman described providing initial medical aid to the seriously injured victim. Another medic, Yitzhak Samama, confirmed treatment for two additional patients with minor injuries, who were subsequently transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. A 17-year-old female was among those hospitalized with moderate limb trauma.
The accident caused significant disruption on the busy highway, with emergency services quickly responding to the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash and manage traffic in the area.
