Truck Overturns Near Sha'ar HaGai Interchange, Causing Heavy Traffic and Injuries
A truck overturned near the Sha'ar HaGai interchange on Highway 1, causing a multi-vehicle accident and significant traffic congestion on Monday. The incident occurred close to a gas station near Ma'ale Ephraim. A 17-year-old female was moderately injured in the crash and received medical treatment from Magen David Adom (MDA) teams. She was transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem along with another individual who sustained minor injuries.
Israeli police reported that the truck overturned within the gas station area and collided with several vehicles. Two injured persons were evacuated from the scene, one in moderate condition and one in light condition. Jerusalem district traffic accident investigators are en route to the site to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The accident has caused heavy traffic delays in the area as emergency and police forces manage the scene and conduct their investigation.
