Model Eliana Zaks Joins Gadi Eizenkot’s Yisrael Party After Family Tragedy in Iran Conflict

Eliana Zaks, a 25-year-old model, marketing professional, and social activist, has joined the Yisrael party led by former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot as head of the party’s youth division. Originally from Beersheba and now living in Tel Aviv, Zaks lost her mother Michal, brother Eitan, and her brother’s partner Noa Boguslavsky in June last year during Operation Guardian of the Walls, when an Iranian missile struck their home in Beersheba. Eitan, 18 at the time, was serving in a multidimensional IDF unit, and Noa had just finished high school. Michal was 50 years old. A neighbor, 73-year-old Naomi Shaanan, was also killed in the attack while sheltering nearby. Zaks’s father survived as he was in a different room.

Following this devastating loss, Zaks decided to channel her grief into public activism focused on mental resilience, civic engagement, and connecting Israeli youth to centers of influence. Months later, during Operation Breaking Dawn, her Tel Aviv apartment was damaged by another Iranian missile strike nearby, forcing her and other residents to evacuate to hotels due to extensive damage from the blast.

Zaks’s move from modeling and business development in the high-tech sector to political activism highlights her commitment to addressing the impact of conflict on Israeli society and youth involvement in national issues. Her role in Eizenkot’s party marks her formal entry into politics amid ongoing regional tensions involving Iran.
