Model Eliana Zaks Reveals Harsh Reactions After Joining Gadi Eizenkot's Party
Eliana Zaks, a model who lost her mother and brother during Operation "With the Lion," recently joined the Yisrael! party led by former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot, taking the role of head of the party's youth division. In an upcoming interview with Walla Personal, Zaks opened up about the harsh and sexist reactions she received following the announcement of her political involvement. She recounted a particularly offensive comment suggesting she must have slept with someone to secure her appointment, expressing surprise that such sexism and chauvinism still exist in 2026.
Zaks also shared a painful memory from shortly after the tragedy that struck her family when a missile hit their home, killing her mother Michal, brother Eitan, and her brother's partner Noa Boguslavsky. She recalled seeing a Facebook post where someone complained about the ruined building blocking their view and causing depression, seemingly indifferent to the loss of life. This experience led her to develop a protective mindset, deciding to focus on doing her best regardless of negative comments.
When asked if she had grown a thick skin, Zaks responded that she views these harsh remarks as anchors that motivate her to prove herself and move forward. She said she remembers the criticism but uses it as fuel to demonstrate her true capabilities. The full interview is scheduled to be published on Walla Celebs soon.
