Bismuth Criticizes Election Committee Appointments, Sohlberg Defends Their Professionalism

In response, Noam Sohlberg, Supreme Court justice and chairman of the Central Election Committee, expressed surprise at Bismuth's remarks. Sohlberg defended the appointments, stating that each individual selected is highly professional and that the recent appointments to key positions have proven their competence through their daily work. He emphasized his trust in these appointees as committee chair.

Sohlberg further clarified the committee's role, saying it is not to shape public discourse or reduce legitimate disagreement but rather to protect fair conditions for public debate.
