Maccabi Tel Aviv Extends Guard Ifa Lundberg's Contract for Three More Years

After weeks of negotiations, Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced the extension of Danish guard Ifa Lundberg's contract for an additional three seasons. Lundberg, 31, who was a standout player last season and named MVP of the playoff finals series, will continue to lead the team under coach Oded Katash. Standing 1.93 meters tall and playing as point guard and shooter, Lundberg has become a key pillar for the team. In the recent EuroLeague season, he averaged 11 points and 3.6 assists per game, with his performance improving to 17.5 points and 4 assists during the playoff finals series, helping Maccabi secure the double title.

Lundberg's new contract is valued at $6 million over three years. Following the signing, Lundberg expressed his excitement to continue his journey with Maccabi, emphasizing the opportunity to fulfill his potential and compete for the EuroLeague title. Club chairman Shimon Mizrahi praised the signing as reinforcing the club's principle of continuity.
