IDF Arrests Over 130 Suspects and Bans Worker Entry to West Bank Settlements to Curb Violence

Following a recent wave of attacks in Judea and Samaria, the IDF has intensified security measures to prevent further escalation. Over the past weekend, Central Command forces conducted extensive operations across hundreds of locations in the West Bank, arresting more than 130 wanted individuals and interrogating hundreds of suspects. Those detained include arms dealers, Hamas-affiliated activists, inciters, and terrorists planning imminent attacks. The homes of the gunman responsible for Friday's shooting attack and the individual who supplied the weapon were mapped, and the gunman's house was sealed overnight.

In addition to these counterterrorism efforts, the IDF's Judea and Samaria Division deployed forces along roads, settlements, and security zones, establishing checkpoints and encirclements to protect residents, reduce road congestion, and prevent friction between populations. Central Command and the Border Police also conducted targeted night operations in the Etzion and Menashe brigades, including in Barta'a, to locate and prevent illegal infiltrations.

Amid rising incitement on Palestinian social media since Thursday and concerns over copycat attacks, security forces have been actively identifying and arresting inciters, with dozens already detained. As part of updated directives, entry of Palestinian workers into settlements has been banned until Tuesday. These measures are carried out in close coordination among the IDF, Shin Bet, Border Police in the West Bank, and Israeli Police to stabilize the area and prevent further violence.
