Yemenite Community Rabbis Launch Online Matchmaking Platform to Support Marriages in Israel

Last week, the Yemenite community held a foundational conference at Beit HaMeorot in Bnei Brak to inaugurate the matchmaking center 'HaMeorashim' and launch its new online system. This initiative, developed over a long period by a dedicated team, aims to assist matchmakers in the sacred task of establishing faithful Jewish homes in Israel, following the meticulous guidelines of a special rabbinical committee overseeing the project from conception to implementation.

The event was honored by the presence and speeches of leading Yemenite rabbis and members of the matchmaking center's rabbinical committee, including Rabbi Aviran Yitzchak-Halevi, Rabbi Yehoram Yiftach, Rabbi Yoram Seri, Rabbi Baruch Okashi, and Rabbi Azriel Tzadok. Rabbi Moshe Yiftach, director of Beit HaMeorot and the Modiin Illit community center, hosted the evening and shared the many daily requests received to address the community's matchmaking challenges, emphasizing the rabbis' directive to proceed with the project while maintaining strict adherence to holiness and tradition without compromising quality.

The rabbis stressed that registration in the 'HaMeorashim' database is strictly kosher to prevent any obstacles to matchmaking. They conveyed a call from the community's leading rabbis urging parents, matchmakers, and anyone able to assist to join this positive revolution by registering candidates and expanding the name database. They highlighted the great merit in partnering with God in the act of creation and following His ways.

The event drew dozens of matchmakers and marriage professionals who attentively listened to the rabbis' speeches, posed questions, and received a comprehensive overview from the center's management and technical team about the innovative platform and future vision.
