21-Year-Old Adell Horowitz Builds Leading Digital Matchmaking Empire in Religious Sector

Adell Horowitz, a 21-year-old woman, together with her mother Ilanit Totian, has created a thriving digital matchmaking platform serving the religious and traditional Jewish communities in Israel. Launched less than two years ago during Adell's national service, the initiative has facilitated the marriages of approximately 150 couples through a network of eight WhatsApp groups and an Instagram account with thousands of followers. The project began when someone approached Ilanit for matchmaking help, leading Adell to post a request on her Instagram story, which quickly attracted dozens of inquiries and grew into a large, active community of over 7,200 participants.

To maintain privacy and quality, Adell and Ilanit implemented strict screening processes requiring personal information and adherence to behavioral rules, removing anyone who violates them. Their audience includes a diverse range of religious affiliations, including traditional, Chabad, and Haredi Jews, united by their religious commitment. Adell emphasizes that while they facilitate connections, they view the success of matches as a divine blessing.

The platform has become a "Noah's Ark" for couples, with many success stories, including a recent emotional marriage of a widow with two children. Adell also found her own husband, Eitan, through the system she built. Eitan initially requested to join a full group and later asked for VIP service, which led to a personal and professional partnership culminating in marriage. Today, they work together organizing celebrations for other couples, embodying the platform's success.
